He Is Gideon

I see a man

With a lot to forgive.

A strong, strong faith,

With abundant gifts.

So blessed, yet so much suffering!

So humble, yet no-one's fool!

I pray Dear Lord

Keep him close,

He's a heart that moves.

He's touched me so sincerely

Deep, deep, deep within.

I pray for him Dear Lord

Raise him up above all sin!

Lift him high,

Hold him steady.

Be in all his thoughts and words.

Lift him high, O Dear Lord

Above this world and all his hurt!

Cheek to Cheek, hold him gently,

Like the fragile flower he is.

Fill his soul with light a-plenty

So, so to shine the brightest gift!

Be in his all in all he gives...

He Is Gideon!
