Each To Their Tree

Each Tree has many branches,
All needing fair their light,
Yet, the Apical is Mightiest,
As He Holds The Greatest Right.
As each and every single shoot,
As best must seek their own,
If closely knit together well,
With their Great to Great they'll Roam...
For He Holds Depth and Breadth within,
No other can provide.
Without Him there to guide the way,
Ten Lifetimes Lost, Trees Blind.
If coppiced gone or pinched from throne,
The Head of Tree, 'Their Great',
Then All Are Left To Fend For Self
Each Set Against Each Haste.
They can survive, they can go on,
If in their ground is sound?
Yet, if foundations crop up short,
Then Hard The Fall Is Bound!
To Death, To Ruin, To Earth- as Dust,
For Conquerors New To Rise;
To take the place where once 'Great Stood',
Again To Rise And Divide!
